Terms of use

What we are

Low Cost Websites (Domain Farm Ltd, company number 13544286) is an introduction service. We send a business's brief to designers we have vetted and the designers quote. We are not a party to any agreement between a business and a designer, we do not build websites, and we do not hold money for either side.

For businesses

• Posting a brief is free and creates no obligation to hire anyone.
• We aim to send your brief to matched designers within one working day, but cannot promise that a designer will quote, or that a quote will be within your budget.
• Any work you agree is a contract between you and the designer, on the designer's terms. Check them before you pay anything.
• We vet designers at the point of listing and act on complaints, but we do not supervise their work and are not liable for it.

For designers

• By applying you confirm the information you give is true and the example sites are your own work.
• Listing is free during launch. If we introduce a listing fee we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you may leave at any time before then.
• You agree to answer every brief we send you within two working days, with a price or a reason you are not quoting, and to quote within the prices you told us.
• We may remove a designer from matching for unanswered briefs, pricing outside the stated bands, complaints from businesses, or work that is not as described.

Both sides

• Do not post anything unlawful, misleading or belonging to someone else.
• We may refuse or remove any brief or listing. We will say why if asked.
• Our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for businesses is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
• These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
